Fun Mother-Daughter Activity Ideas

Best High Tea Melbourne

As a mother, it’s important to form strong bonds with your children, especially daughters. Your daughter may choose to become a mother one day and you should prepare her to enjoy motherhood without any regrets.

It doesn’t matter if your daughter is 2, 12, or 22. You should spend quality time with her so that she feels comfortable and safe to share all her feelings, insecurities, and embarrassing movements happening in her life. You should be the support system and she should know that you will always be there for her.

However, you can get lost in the daily routine and the chores you need to do. So take time once in a while and take your daughter on a date. It can be as simple as watching a movie together or it could be a vacation to your favourite city. Whatever you do, spending and bonding with your daughter should be your priority.

So, here are the few activities that we think are perfect for both mother and daughter.

Try a luxury high tea

High tea is a luxurious activity that every person has to enjoy once in a lifetime. So why not do it with your daughter? Take her out to this late afternoon whole meal and relish the taste of the tea at the end while conversing about what’s happening in your lives. Eating tasty food in a pleasant ambience with good company is always a great combination to talk one’s mind.

Take an art class

Does your daughter show interest in painting, singing, or any other artistic activity? Instead of just enrolling her, you can also go in with her and take an art class together. Remember, parents are the first company that children enjoy and you can maintain the same throughout their teenage and adult lives as well. You can do it by actively engaging in the activities that interest your daughter.

Take a professional photoshoot

Another great way to bond with your daughter is by arranging a professional photoshoot. From deciding on the venue to the dresses and accessories, there are so many things that you can talk about with your daughter until the end of the session. You can get to know more things that your daughter likes without being deliberate or forceful. And as a bonus, you will have amazing and memorable pictures with your daughter.

Go on a hike

You can also spend quality time with your daughter by going on a hike. It not only strengthens your relationship but it can also be like a great workout. Choose a pleasant day and take your daughter on a hike and converse about anything and everything that comes to your mind. Remember when you talk freely, you can expect your daughter to do the same without any reservations.

Go on a picnic

Go on Picnic

If hiking isn’t your thing, you can simply go on a picnic and eat homemade sandwiches and sip your favourite drink while sharing pleasant movements with your daughter. You can go to the nearby park or set up a picnic in your backyard.  Make your daughter involved in the activity by doing everything together from setting up the blanket to packing everything at the end.

Make a homemade dinner together

When you are too busy and regret not taking time out for your daughter, then the best way to do it is by preparing a homemade dinner together. Come home early and cook dinner with the help of your daughter. While you’re at it, cook her favourite dishes to keep her interested and curious. You can teach her cooking skills like cutting vegetables and decorating the plates. Keep the conversations light and funny and enjoy the aroma of homemade dishes and the company of your daughter.

Based on your daughter’s interest, you can plan any activity and do it together. You can also unwind by dancing to your favourite tunes along with your daughter. You can sit and look at your daughter’s childhood pics and share fond memories you have with her. And you can also choose to play some board games during the afternoon or read a book to her. You can be your daughter’s best friend when you are involved in her life actively and appropriately.
